Abstract:
This paper aims to address control device security issue with Metro systems. It would be devastating in the event that control devices are suffering from cyber attacks or physical attacks. Thus, in this paper, we present a cyber-physical authentication approach which combine an add-on security module (AOSM) and a cyber security protocol for cyber-physical device authentication and data transmission. Tests and performance evaluation have then been done to show the feasibility of the proposed protocol as the time efficiency of the protocol is critical to the functionality of the control system.
