Abstract:
This paper reviews selected millimeter-wave (mmW) antennas at 60 GHz using conventional print circuit board (PCB) process. Compared to the designs on low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) substrate, the antennas on PCB feature much lower fabrication cost with desired performance. First, an antipodal Fermi antenna for high directivity is introduced. Then, a fan-like antipodal tapered slot antenna with a wide beamwidth is discussed. Finally, a single-layered narrow-wall-fed substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) wide slot antenna is demonstrated.
